Discerning cyclists demand it! The Benchmark of production touring bikes. It's reputation precedes it - The Jack of All trades: The Surly Disc Trucker.

Owen here with along ride-along Bike Fast Facts, talking through a few of the updates we have seen to the disc trucker which was updated back in 2020. Some subtle but nice changes mean that this great bike has been gently modernized to work better for everyone! Some slight frame and component changes but also fit changes! If you want to just "ride more" a disc trucker might be the key that can open SO many doors to do just that. Capable and comfortable, loaded or light, paved or gravel - this trucker keeps on truckin' no matter what you throw at it. Its easy to overlook a touring bike as the utilitarian nature might not garner the same excitement as a "racing" bicycle, but for most of us average bike users its likely a much better buy. Being somewhat of a jack of all trades bike it even bridges the gap between a cargo bike and just a "regular" bicycle. As a taller than average individual I also really appreciate how strong and sturdy these bikes are - they do not shy away from some heavy pedaling! One of the best thing about these bikes is that they make smaller and larger frame sizes than standard. They come in size 42cm up to size 64cm! Meaning more people that might not be "average" height (or weight) can ride these bikes. More people on bikes will never cease to get me excited.
