Easy to Manage
The GSD's unique geometry makes for super stable riding, no matter what you're hauling (or how wiggly your kids are). The low center of gravity lets even smaller riders confidently manage heavy loads, and the step-thru frame makes getting on and off the bike a breeze. Plus, we've made it easier for the rider's feet to reach the ground at stops.
Year-Round Riding
Keeping your kids dry and cozy is the key to happier rides and fewer complaints. The new Clubhouse Fort transforms the GSD into an all-weather solution to carry young passengers all year round.
Small-Space Friendly
A regular bike takes up a lot of floor space and can be hard to store in a small living space (never mind getting it in and out of the elevator). We solved this problem by designing the GSD to park vertically, so it takes up about as much space as a potted plant—perfect for city apartments and elevators.
This is a worthy car replacement for those of you who are downtown city dwellers. Lots of thoughtful options for cargo, bags, kids etc...I went for the lowest maintenance version, gates carbon fibre belt drive and Enviolo hub; The Enviolo takes some getting used to, and you will definitely have strong wrists! In retrospect I may have gone for the conventional 8 speed Nexus as it's just as reliable and not quite as difficult to shift. Lots of power, convenient and easy to store. Peace of mind knowing that you have a well considered and thoroughly tested bike. Great brakes for heavy loads and stopping power in wet weather. Looking forward to testing this through the winter to see if everything stays working properly through the freezes. Looking forward to the newer models getting fitted out with updated Bosch systems as they have better battery management, shifting and power options.
Fabulous bike, my first ride was 65 kms to Goodwood from Urbane Cyclist. Bike worked without any problems and used 75% of available power. Day 2 was another 30 kms with my 5 year old daughter in the captains chair. Again, delightful ride without any problems and tons of power left.
