We call this the Milan bar because it's a great bar for converting old Italian racing frames with a short top tube. Actually it's great for converting any frame with a short top tube into a city bike. Folks who like a more aggressive position on a city bike will like it too. The width is about 57cm; reach is 11cm; there is around 25mm (one inch) of rise; the grips sweep back about 35-degrees; the bulge is 25.4mm; and the grip area is about 17cm long. The material is polished aluminum alloy. Milan bars work with regular MTB (22.2mm) grips, brakes, shifters, etc, but not inverse levers or bar-ends.
Velo Orange's Tourist bar is a "North Road" style bar rendered in polished aluminum alloy. It's similar to the bars used on many classic British roadsters. The clamp area is 25.4mm in diameter. The width is 570mm and the reach is 180mm; it has about 70mm of rise. They sweep back about 60-degrees, and the grip area is about 160mm long. The Tourist accepts regular MTB (22.2mm) grips, brakes, and shifters, but not inverse levers or bar-end shifters.
Remember those great Belleri Porteur bars from France? Of course Belleri is long out of business, but those handlebars are still sought-after. So, Velo-Orange decided to make their own Porteur bars. They are 480mm wide; reach is 140mm. The grip area is about 130mm, and they have about 15mm of rise or drop. The clamp area is 25.4mm. The quality and polishing are very nice. The transition from the grip to the curve on the originals was a bit abrupt; The Velo-Orange version has a gentler transition. The curves on both versions are fuller and, we think, prettier than the somewhat similar Champs Elysées bars used on the old Herse bikes. These bars are available in two tubing diameters, 23.8mm road-sized and 22.2mm mountain bike-sized (clamp area is 25.4mm on both): - 22.2mm diameter (MTB-size) bars accept MTB brake levers and clamp-on shifters. They do not work with bar-end shifters. The only inverse levers that work are Dia Compe levers in the 22.2mm size. - 23.8mm diameter (road-size) bars accept standard inverse brake levers, standard bar end shifters, and 23.8mm city brake levers. In short, anything made for road bars fits. They do not accept MTB levers or shifters.
$49.99 - $70.00
- Wide center profile for on-the-top spinning and a 205mm forward extension with upswept ends for sprints in the city or on the track - Can be used with track grips, bar-end shifters, or brake levers if needed - 1-piece 6061-T6 aluminum construction
$50.00 - $60.00
The Rodeo Pursuit bullhorn handlebar is the ideal replacement for cheap bars that come stock on most bikes these days. Made of high end 6061 T6 aluminum, this ultra-strong handlebar provides a wide range of hand positions and a subtle 40mm drop for a comfortable and quick forward position. Whether riding the center for comfortable spinning or forward for sprints, the Rodeo Pursuit Bullhorn bar is the ideal city bar.
These are our reproduction of what is probably the most popular style of French city and utility bike bars ever. Anyone who enjoys classic European films has seen bars like this dozens of times. They are 43cm wide (or 45cm outside-to outside) and have zero rise. That's fairly narrow for a city bar which is an advantage in traffic. Reach is about 18cm . The straight grip section is a generous 150mm. 25.4mm clamp area. Aluminum alloy. These bars are available in two tubing diameters, 23.8mm road sized and 22.2mm mountain-bike- sized (clamp area is 25.4mm on both): 22.2mm (MTB-size) bars accept MTB brake levers and clamp-on shifters. They do not work with bar-end shifters. The only inverse levers that work are Dia Compe levers in the 22.2mm size. 23.8mm (road-size) bars accept standard inverse brake levers, standard inverse shifters, and 23.8mm city brake levers. In short, anything made for road bars fits. They do not accept MTB levers or shifters.

Soma's Sparrow Handlebar has a long grip area so you can sit more upright and easily use twist shifters. It's made of aluminum, can be run with positive or negative rise, and will look great on your town bike!
We went a bit wild with the Left Bank handlebar's design. It is a full 49cm wide, 7cm wider than a traditional French bar, but still narrower that many British/American-style bars. The grips flare outward a bit to appeal to the less restrained cyclist. Given its radical nature it can only be named the Left Bank handlebar, after that section of Paris, the Latin Quarter on the left bank of the Seine, that was historically populated by students and leftist philosophers. The stem clamp diameter is 25.4mm and are bulged, rather than sleeved, so they will not squeak. Polished alloy. Reach is about 18cm. 23.8mm (road-size) bars accept standard inverse brake levers, standard bar-end shifters, and 23.8mm city brake levers. In short, anything made for road bars fits. They do not accept MTB levers or shifters.

Chris has owned a much-loved ancient Italian city bike handlebar for many years. It's a little like our Milan bar, but with zero rise. We've long wanted a similar bar, but with slightly longer grips. It's finally here and called the Postino bar after a wonderful Italian film. The Postino bar is ideal for those who like a slightly forward position and those who like to ride fast. Like the Milan bar it's ideal for converting old racing bikes for urban use. 22.2mm diameter accepts standard mountain bike and city bike controls. 57cm wide, zero rise. 25.4mm stem clamp area.
