This is a purebred velodrome machine. The frame geometry is built for the raw top-end, with a steep 74.5-degree head angle for ultrasensitive steering and short 38.5cm chainstays for explosive power transfer. The 20mm Vittoria tires are narrow as knife blades, and of course brakes are nowhere to be found.

Track bikes don't see the abuse of grimy roads or foul weather, and with few moving parts, a rig like the Sonik can last for decades with little more than fresh tires--the perfect justification for dropping more than a grand on a niche steed.
